That's My Spot, Thank You!

You may have to look close to see this little guy eating away on his acorn.  The funny story about him is that we were all sitting at the campground, and we are pretty sure we were in his acorn burial ground.  Just a few minutes before this picture was taken, he was running up and down the roof of the building, barking and scolding us for being where he wanted to bury the acorn.  We couldn't believe all the racket he was making.  Giving up on moving us to another place, he just decided to eat the darn acorn.

Joining today with Eileen for Saturday Critters.

Have a fabulous weekend!

Enjoyed the photo and story. This is where the term "squirrelly" comes from, isn't it? :-) Have a great weekend. John

we have one living in our garage. it's the funniest thing because I am not sure he can get out, if the door isn't open -- so when we open the door, this little flash of fur just comes flying out some times. Then he scurries around the yard like a nutter. it's crazy - but so amusing watching them.

Squirrels can be friend or foe depending on where they decide to live.

I used to have a friend whose children would feed corn nuts to squirrels who came close to their house. The squirrels got so they would tap on the door when they wanted a treat.

Love,
Janie

Squirrels are squirrelly for sure. I like watching them hiding their stash and eating too. Fun watching them chase each other around, too.

I planted a lot of nut trees and we don't get any nuts because the squirrels eat them all before they are even ripe. So they are cute elsewhere but not in our yard.

It's almost time to put up the bird feeders at our house. Unfortunately, that means we'll be seeing more squirrels, too.
