Saturday Lighthouse - Santa Cruz

Today's lighthouse picture was taken in Santa Cruz, California, where the surfers love to ride the waves. Here's the website for the lighthouse.

There is even a monument to the surfers: Here's the story.
The sky is incredibly blue and the water even bluer. All the surfers are enthusiastic about riding the waves.

I think we need to go back to Northern California for a visit!

Good morning Linda Kay, Your post is interesting about the lighthouse and the surfers. I went to the surfer site and read it as well. My niece's husband is a surfer and she met and married him in CA. They then moved to Hawaii and have lived there for several years. Their children are now surfers too. I call that dedicated.

Have a lovely weekend.

Northern California is always worth a visit - I live north of the Golden Gate, and I love it here. Lighthouses are always good, I certainly like your picture of this one.

$240 an acre for 10 acres in 1868 was a heck of a price. And paid in gold coins. Now if only someone had thought to store those gold coins away.

I've always liked lighthouses. This one is pretty, but very unlike those around Lake Superior.
