First Place, Birds, and Fiddler

It's Monday already, the weekend has flown by and I have some good random fun to share with you and our friend Tamar. Be sure to stop by to visit what others are enjoying on this Monday. Thanks for hosting!

Good

Hubby is a member of Das Foto Club - the German based photography group here in Fredericksburg. On Thursday night last week, we enjoyed an annual dinner meeting at an Italian Restaurant, Bella Vita in Kerrville. There had been a juried contest for pictures submitted by club members in the categories of color and black and white. He won first place in the color category with the following photo: (please do not copy)

This picture was actually taken on a cloudy day following a rain the night before in Copenhagen, just a short walk from the hotel where we were staying. It is not retouched.

Random
Even the sparrows get hungry.

Fun
Our local, The Fredericksburg Theater Group puts on several plays each year using local talent. We had the pleasure of attending Fiddler on the Roof on Sunday Afternoon.

This video is from one of my favorites, along with Sunrise, Sunset. Do you have a favorite from the play or film?

Have a really special week. Mine is very busy with a seminar on Wednesday this week among other commitments. But a massage on Thursday! Yeah!

Great photo and very deserving of first prize! I love the picture with the birds.
Fiddler on the Roof is one of my very favorite movies of all time and I watch it every time I just want a feel good movie. I remember the joy of hearing Tevye sing for the first time, "If I were a rich man." Loved it. But I also loved The Greatest Miracle of them All. Oh geez, I loved every song in the movie, but I have to confess these days, I kinda fast forward through the Grandma Scene in the graveyard.

The photo is outstanding. I am not surprised it won first place. Congratulations! Cute photo of the birds. Thanks for the video. Our daughter-in-law performed in a local production of Fiddler On The Roof. It was a wonderful performance and very professional. I loved the movie also and can say it is one of my favorites.

Love the Copenhagen photo. I'd have guessed Amsterdam, another great city to see from the water.

My favorite part of Fiddler is the big dance scene at the bar - the Jewish/Russian dance off.

Fiddler on the Roof is one of my all time favorite musicals. It's also one of the rare transitions to film that totally worked!

Your Copenhagen picture is fantastic. Mind if I use it for a painting? I need to stretch myself a little.

Congratulations to your hubby! The musical sounds like it was nice, too. One of these days I will get to our theatre in town.

Wonderful Copenhagen! So colorful. I lived in a neighborhood where all the houses had to be in neutral earth colors. Great water reflections too. I like the Jewish music in general and Fiddler on the Roof is great, I like "If I Were a Rich Man."

Linda Kay,

I love that picture! It looks somewhat like a beautiful Painting :)

I love `Sunrise,Sunset`.
But having not seen the movie, I didn't realize that was where it came from.

I would love a massage! WooHoo!
Actually, I must admit my hubby did give me a massage a few weeks ago.
Did you know menopause can cause itching?
I was itching so bad, I started crying...really. There was no way I could go to sleep. I spent hours itching, before I learned the problem & what to do. I did take Benadryll without relief.
Looked on Google and found it can be caused by menopause.
A few ways to relieve the itching is have a massage using either Vaseline or aromatherapy. I had some Vaseline moisturizing cream So he put that on me, and it was such a relief.
Also, they suggest, do not take a hot bath/shower. Taking a cooler one, it's said, will help prevent the itching. I must say, it works for me. xoxo
