Good Gate on Thursday

The Brandenburg Gate, Berlin per Wikipedia

It's pretty hard to get a picture without all the people in it, so this is the best we could do on this picture. It was taken with the Nikon on a cloudy day in Berlin several years ago. Very beautiful, and near there is a holocaust memorial.

Linking today with Good Fences (and Gates). Thanks for hosting!

Have a wonderful day,

Linda Kay

I can't think of a place in an Australian city that has pillars upon it's entrance.

Hi Linda Kay, No worries about the people in the picture ... In my opinion it's more realistic. With or without ... either way it is a beautiful scene. Have a good day. John

It's a wonder any part of that gate made it through WWII.

Berlin's landmark building... so beautiful. It will always have a special place in my heart. I remember those times when we could see the Brandenburg Gate only from the west which means we only saw the butts of the quadriga horses - and the wall in front of it! The first time I could actually walk through the gate was very special. I'll never forget that.

I have been sorting old slides and I have one similar to yours of the Brandenburg Gate somewhere. I think I'll just enjoy yours and hope I happen upon mine soon!

Pretty, no matter how big the crowd is...and I must be honest, I LOVED your idea for Good GATES!!! Unique and a good change of pace from all the other fences today.
