Marley Quote

"Though the road's been rocky, it sure feels good to be me." Bob Marley

The quote was provided by Patricia's Place, so check out what others had to say about this interesting quote. Thanks for hosting!

The video I found by Bob Marley is one I remember most, and it reflects his attitude in the quote. And this biography was on the internet.

"Bob Marley was born on February 6, 1945, in St. Ann Parish, Jamaica. In 1963, Marley and his friends formed the Wailing Wailers. The Wailers' big break came in 1972, when they landed a contract with Island Records. Marley went on to sell more than 20 million records throughout his career, making him the first international superstar to emerge from the so-called Third World. He died in Miami, Florida, on May 11, 1981."

When I look at the life of this singer and his band, the roads I have traveled pale in comparison.  All of us have a few challenges in our lives, which we usually manage to overcome, deal with, or pray about. But we were born into a country that offers us so much in comparison to what Bob Marley and his band experienced, until Eric Clapton heard their music. Check out Bob Marley on YouTube to hear more of the music.
Have a great Saturday and Sunday!

Linda Kay

Linda, lovely post! it's amazing to stop and think of how different our lives would have been if we'd been born in a different time or place, to different parents or with different siblings, with different talents and troubles.

Great quote. We are a sum of our experiences. If there are no rough patches, there's not a lot of chance to grow.
