Stones and Logs

I have a couple of fences to share with you today and with Good Fences. Thanks for hosting, Theresa!

The first one is a part of the Pioneer Museum in Fredericksburg. If you expand the picture you can see that the rocks were part of a ranch fence not far from town.

The second picture is from the LBJ Ranch near Johnson City. This is an old wagon on display in the foreground. The fence is just logs in the background.

Have a wonderful Thursday today, my friends. Be sure to check in on Good Fences to see what other masterpieces are presented today!

Linda Kay

Hi Linda Kay, Good entry for Good Fences. I would like to visit the Pioneer Museum in Fredericksburg one of these days. Looks interesting and would be a good "Senior Adventure"! :-)

Did you know you can't find any surface rocks in Florida? That's why they call Florida a beach.

Fredericksburg is such an interesting spot on the map. I'm sure that there is a lot of fences with great history around. This one is fabulous!

Hope you see sunshine today...more rain for us.

The old wagon is wonderful. I so love things like that. I actually wish I had a wagon wheel in my garden so some vines or roses could climb up on it.

Cool rock fence. Bet that was a lot of work. - I also like the weathered split rail.

I like the rock wall. It must have taken a lot of effort to place those rocks so they fit together like that.

I like the contrast between the two.

Hi There, I love rock fences --but I also love log fences... The Smokies have BOTH.... I have a blog friend who is building a fence from tree limbs/branches ... She is trying to keep the deer out of her back yard.... Wonder if that will work?

Hugs,
Betsy
