The Vistas

It's always fun to look for a new fence or gate for Theresa's Good Fences. So here's my entry for today, along the Ranch Road to LBJ Lake.

You can see by the title that this is the gate to "The Vistas" at Round Mountain. Might be an exclusive area, and I'd wager there is a gate code in that little structure in the middle front. It also appears that they have their own water tower off to the left.

Thanks for hosting, Theresa. Everyone be sure to check out the other entries as there are usually many linked in.

LBJ is that the former president? No entry to the lake. It looks like a fortress with two watchtowers.

They have their own water tower...is this a symbol of our future life? Gated communities will be even more elusive.

From the looks of the tire marks, it's a wonder that stone pillar in the middle is still standing. :-)

Pretty entrance..
when I think of the LBJ Library, I think of years ago when my mom and dad went on a trip with us to visit here. There was a HUGE fig bush outside by the library and it was loaded with figs...everyone was told to help themselves to the fruit and, boy, it was soooo good. As soon as we got home, my mother planted a fig in your yard...it never did make fruit.

Beautiful gate. I really like the wall with all the different colored stone. It must look wonderful when the sun is low and casts its golden light on it.

Here in Montreal there are some beautiful and very expensive and prestigious homes in the millions, Linda, and their gateway sometimes looks similar to the one in your photo.
