Blue Sky and Windmills

We are traveling today, so I have a post to show you the farm land at my brother's. He recently leased a spot to the wind turbine company, so the view from the road is a bit different from my childhood memories.

Connecting today with Sally on Blue Monday.

Along the Highway 122 leading into my home town in Illinois, the American Legion had put flags probably every 100 yards on both sides of the road to commemorate Veteran's Day.
God bless our soldiers and veterans on this Memorial Day.

Have a great week!

The wind turbines are usefull for electricity, but they spoil the views of the country a bit.

The wind turbines have a different grace, but one nevertheless.

Beautiful views of the pretty sky and flag! I have mixed feeling about the turbines. Have a happy Memorial Day and a great new week ahead!

Palm Springs (about 1.25 hours east from us) have hundreds of those wind turbines lining the freeway. They are fun to drive by.

As long as the sun keeps putting out sunshine the windmills will keep turning.

You're making me envious with those blue skies. No such thing over here at the moment. Just a sky full of haze.

We have lots of these turbines in the Columbia River Gorge area. It's amazing just how big they are.

Around here many dairy farms have wind turbines and I understand that the check from the wind company is often larger than their milk check. Tom The Backroads Traveller
