Friday at Random

Time to share a few random thoughts on a Friday...so much going on at my house.
1. But I did take a little time to go shopping with a friend. I always end up in the shoe department, and am amazed at the height of the heels and the bizarre look of some of these. What do you think?

A friend posted this picture of shoes for those of you who are baseball fans. Can you imagine wearing this to a baseball game?
These shoes are a bit more reasonable for my interest and I love the brand. What brand is your favorite?

2. Flowers are blooming profusely in our backyard with all the rain we have been having, especially the fines. So this passion flower is one of many blooms, and they are really pretty.

3. My Facebook friends posted this last week. So funny for matching up socks.

4. Got a new table and chairs on order for the new house! We have a kitchen eating area in the new house that we didn't have before, so I found the perfect table and chairs. It will be delivered when we get into the house. They are a bit higher than a normal table, so I think they will be fun!

5. I'm taking this opportunity to wish you a happy May Day! I remember when we made little baskets with candies to share with our friends many years ago. And sometimes we would have a pole with ribbons to wind around it. How about you?

Joining in today with Willy Nilly Friday 5 and Friday Fragments. Thanks for hosting, ladies!

In my humble opinion, the more shoes the better life becomes. Who cares about being practical? Having an eat in kitchen is wonderful, except that I tend to spend a lot of the day doing just that---eating in the eat in kitchen. lol

Happy May, Linda Kay!
The passion flower is so pretty! And I prefer wearing flats as I feel insecure in high heels.

Lovin' the new dining set!!!
And as for the shoes, here's what I think about the styles these days....

THEY ALL LOOK LIKE SOMETHING A STREET WALKER WHERES TO 'sell' her "wares".

I really like the table and chairs. Those shoes are astonishing! I go for comfort in shoes - SAS is my favorite brand.

Hi Linda Kay, Another cool set of Friday Randoms. I had to smile when looking at those shoes ... think back for a moment to the first human to ever put something on their foot to make a shoe ... what would they think about those baseball shoes? Gotta luv it! Have a fine weekend.

No high heels for me...I've had two bunion surgeries (I didn't wear them much before either). Nice flower! And yes, the sock comic reminds me of my own dryer - we're always losing socks! Happy Friday to you!

I used to wear high heels for work...but the ones today seem much higher. I like Yellow Box flip-flops for summer.

When I was at primary school in the 1970s we celebrated May Day properly: a May Queen and attendants, bluebells worn in our hair (only for the girls!) and dancing round the maypole on the playground. I think it's largely fallen by the wayside now, probably because if you celebrate spring at Easter you can't do it again in May.

If those baseball shoes were a 2 inch heel, I'd say, 'yes'.

Love the sock cartoon, and the dining room set. You made out like a bandit!

I am truly amazed that we do not see more women falling on their faces or their butts.

Those are interesting shoes. I tend to wear very plain flatties these days. I love passion flowers, yours is a real beauty. I’ve seen the cartoon before, still laugh when I come across it. Your new table set looks lovely. Bet you can’t wait to get in your new house. Happy May Day :)

The passion flower is stunning!

I remember the habit of getting flowers for grandma, putting them on her doorstep, ringing the door bell and hiding. I did that for a few years with my mom when I was a newlywed. Might take a few flowers to her tonight when we go visit. Thanks for the reminder! Beats marching Russian soldiers. ;)

We need a video of you strutting your stuff in your baseball shoes. You did buy them didn't you?

Funny, the recaptcha word is bator.

I wore high heels for years and they really messed up my feet. Now I only wear flats. Congrats on the new furniture and the blooming of your yard (even if that flower looks like something that would grow on Mars! lol). Have a great weekend!

I never understood why women would want shoes like that. They do so much damage to the body.

The sock pic is pricless!

#1 Women will wear the dumbest things.
#2 That passion flower is beautiful.
#3 Cute.
#4 I have a hard time getting out of low chairs.
#5 Oh yes happy May Day, I forgot to dance around the pole.

Yes, I wonder about those shoes. These days, I wear low heels, but I have to confess that if I were in my 20s I would probably try to wear some of those stilettos. 20s is that kind of age. :-)

Loved the sock cartoon!

What about the shoes? Wouldn't you want to wear them? Me either...I would break my neck in them.

These were a fun read...I like the table you found.

I loved the pictures of the shoes. Especially the baseball shoe, but I'm afraid I couldn't wear them. Your garden is lovely as is your new dining room set. My best to you :)

Those lime green shoes - what do you wear with those?

I always loved May Day, and I didn't even mention it in my post! It was fun to leave little baskets of flowers on doorsteps. I miss that little celebration of spring!

I have a daughter that loves to wear the super high heels and she would be excited by some of those crazy styles above. I'm all for comfort these days! My favorite brand is Merrels because they fit my feet so well.
Your flower is lovely. I'm enjoying daffodils and tulips right now.

Maybe you could show us some nice flat shoes next week! Can't do heels anymore.

I wear nothing but flats these days. My ankles are too weak. I've always thought passion flowers were such exotic looking flowers.
