Skywatch Friday

Lake Eufala, Eufala OK, where the lake is so full of water that it appears to be just about to come over the road. The stormy sky is in the background.

Your Skywatch Friday hosts are YogiSandy and Sylvia.

Wow- that looks about to leave it's banks! We have flooding here and bridges closing.

i like the lines in this photo. i know folks have had their fill of rain and storms this year.

Great photo! I hope there's no more flooding. It would be lovely if some areas' excess rain could be sent out West where more rain is sorely needed.

I hear that all the reservoirs are full. And now it could stop! We've been following this on the news, of course.

hope you're not looking for tornadoes...

The sky has been sort of lumpy for awhile in the middle of the country.

Look out, Linda! It looks like the sky is just as full of water as the lake!

Perfectly brooding skies, but then given the way the weather has been in your part of the continent recently, that's not unexpected.

The state of Texas has just announced that this May it's the wettest in HISTORY.

The water tables around here are saturated, and a common sight to see lakes like this all over. Nearer to me, Lake Corpus Christi, just a couple of years ago, it was so dry you could see an old train trestle...Now, they're emptying the water levels this year 'cause of damage to the dam if too much pressure continues.

It does look as though it is just going to come pouring over the edge if even another drop of rain should be added. xx

Our lake is overflowing, too. I am going to have to post some pics. I camped on Lake Eufaula many years ago. I especially remember the red dirt there.

Wow. From this angle, the water looks like a flat surface.
