Home Design

Which design fits your style?

Rustic Country?

Not sure of the category of this one. Is it haunted or just beautifully designed?

Sharing with Outdoor Wednesday on my soup group day. I'm fixing corn chowder for lunch. Want to come over?

Both houses much too large and ornate for me.
We have prediction for freezing rain, corn chowder sounds good!

I like rustic country better! Happy in our apartment, though.

Corn chowder does with today's snowy weather here.

Hello, they are both pretty. I would choose the first Rustic Country house! Happy Wednesday, enjoy your day!

Both are beautiful in their own right. I would choose neither.

From the photos #1 looks more appealing -- sunny and better photo. In real life, the choice could be harder.

Number 2 is in the Second Empire style that was popular after the Civil War and it's a beauty.

I think I'd like the first if it were a little smaller. I have the ingredients for corn chowder as we are expecting snow, and I always make it on our snow days--of which we have about one or two a year!

I think they both look very nice but would probably go for the log cabin. I like them a little more cottage-ey though.

I'd prefer a Victorian, but if I had to choose between the two shown I'd pick the first one. I've never had corn chowder but it sounds good.

Rustic country with lots of gardens for me. :-)

I like my Florida bungalow. I used to live in a big fancy house. It was too much work.

Love,

I don't think I could afford the heating bill for the second one.

Both houses are lovely and very different from each other.
What is corn chowder?

I like smaller country casual homes with outdoor living spaces...

Neither could be described as my dream home, but I definitely I am feeling that rustic aesthetic. It's beautiful, especially with those logs.

Hi, Dearest Linda;
I like both of the house but if I should, I'd choose Rustic Country. Colorful and no stairs for my husband (who has handicap with his legs) :-)
Love your lunch as well♪

Thank you SO much for your visit despite the absence. It's so cold here, hope you're doing fine.

Sending Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to my Dear friend in America, xoxo Miyako*

i love both, but my fave is the 2nd. i would think it would be a bit haunted, it has to be.i love the fencing, what is not to love, it is just amazing architecture. i always love driving by home & thinking what it would be like to live there & whatnot. so cool. ( :

Hi Linda Kay,

I can't decide either. Haunted or Rustic design...I kinda like it tho.
It would be a great place to write a novel. 🔰

Linda, both beautiful houses, but I prefer to live in quite a small house. It's fun to look at all different styles though, and I love visiting model homes. I'd love to come over for a bowl of your corn chowder!
