Monday frustrations

My friends, I've decided I cannot listen to one more news analysis of our political climate, which has obviously gone straight to h***. I'm ashamed of the behavior on both parties and the candidates involved, and it is beyond me at this point if there is anyone who might be a World Leader. Exasperating, in the least. So I found this posting on Facebook and decided it was the perfect posting for me today, and to pass along to you.

Even when we get past the elements playing a part up to the conventions, can we survive the months up to the final election in November? God help us all.

BTW, this is my 100th post!

I has become a shameful race indeed. What is going on in the world, people can only shout at each other. There is no civilisation anymore it seems.

Good morning Linda
Happy 100th post.
Well you have your elections, which of course are in our news a lot too!
We have the EU referendum vote!

It certainly is given the news channels and reporters a lot to film and talk about ...

I love that posting you found on Facebook - thanks for sharing.

I wish you a pleasant Monday and a great week too.

All the best Jan

Congratulations on turning one hundred! I avoid the news. If something very important happens, the dogs will tell me. I can't and won't deal with all the stupid arguments, and that means you, Donald Trump.

Love,
Janie

Despite the truth of your post, I'm encouraged to know that there are others who realize turning this stuff off is good for the soul. I have 'unfriended' several on FB until after the election due to negative, crude and rude posts. This includes a couple of people that are not 'political' in general and the best of company which is disappointing. Its just too easy to 'click' and spread that stuff.

The GOP in particular has jumped the shark or something like that.

Congratulations on your 100!
I hear you loud and clear. So sick of these people. There were only a couple of people who really had the interests of our country at heart and they aren't in the race. What is the matter with everyone? I don't watch the news. Can't listen to the foulness.

congrats on the 100 posts. that is awesome!! i always wonder why we have to be like this the political stuff??! ...i wish we could just play nice. it is very embarrassing. i have already apologized on my blog, but at least every one else is getting a laugh out of the USA. which is what i mean when i say it is embarrassing. i folks to think well of our nation not think we are a laughing stock of pooh. not clue what to think of it all???! ( :

i guess we have to talk about something light and airy ... books? weather? or what? but it seems a lot of time it gets folks up in arms over what not??!

I think there are several candidates still trying to remain calm and dignified while arguing their positions. It is a contest and it will not be all love and flowers. Try to keep out of the personality contest and see what they proposed to do. I hope you have not been discouraged from voting!

Bravo on the milestone. I've had to cut people out of my life on a personal level who were creating drama and toxicity.

Having had voted out a lunatic last fall, I can only say it's refreshing that our Prime Minister doesn't cater to negativity, something that came across in his trip down to DC last week.

Congratulations on your 100th post...like you, I am weary of the political. And also, wondering how we are going to make it through the next election.

It really is embarrassing. I have a friend who lives in Amsterdam, and she recently asked if we (the U.S.) understand how ridiculous our country looks, and how much everyone is just laughing at us. It is, indeed, very sad. I don't watch the news because of it, which is not the best thing, either. I just can't take the stupidity and the hatred. What have we become?

This is all such a horror to watch. What can be gained by this and what type of government are we leaving to our children and grandchildren? It is so, so sad.

I wouldn't normally comment on such things, but even we are fed up of your presidential race over here in England! We are having our own political shenanigans over here with the vote coming up as to whether or not we will stay in Europe, there doesn't seem to be quite as much bickering as you are having, but there is still more than enough! Let us hope it passes more peacefully for us all! xx

Congrats on your 100th post! I like the sign. Focus on the positive, not the negative. I read recently that when we click on something in Facebook, it thinks we want to see more of it, so we'll see more things like it in our feed. So now I just scroll past the negative in hopes I'll see less of it.

I don't listen to the political news so I am unaware...has Hilly made a fool of herself again? She is a piece of work, a proven liar I lost all respect for her when she didn't kick Billy to the curb after the Monica cigar episode...:)

Congratulations on both counts.

Hi, Congrats on your 100th post....

Don't even get me started about what is going on in our country... It's embarrassing and sad --and as you said, it's BOTH parties...I'm not sure who can help heal our wonderful country from all of the stuff we have gone through with the past 8+ years...

I'm gonna go and take a walk. That always helps.
Hugs,
Betsy

We get some of your politics down here and I will be grateful when it's over in September...so I can only imagine how it must be for you.
