Signs of Spring

Polly and I walk every afternoon around the neighborhood, and one day I actually remembered to take my cell phone along. I thought I'd share the signs of Spring we are seeing....

Here's my Friday challenge for all of you. How many can you name?

Have a fabulous weekend, my friends.

You obviously live somewhere a lot warmer than here!

I want to know what the purple tall plant is by the fence. I would like one of those is it's winter hardy. Beautiful!

We go from marvelous to Hell, back to marvelous here in Florida. I'm just hoping for a couple more weeks of marvelous before the heat and humidity are both in the 90s

The daffodils, magnolias, and forsythias are all popping around here. A really early spring this year.

Are the pink and white ones Dogwood trees? We used to have one in our front yard when I lived in Indiana. Lovely trees! :)

That's a trick question--the answer to them all is FLOWERS!!

The flowers are lovely in their own way: the quiet, purple flower way and the showy daffodil way!

They're all lovely; the quiet purple flowers and the showy daffodils!

I know one thing...there is no dogwood here. LOL Contrary to popular belief. Dogwoods have 4 petals with the little notch in the tip of each.

What else I know for sure is the Redbud and daffodil. The pink one below the fence shot...crabapple? And maybe even the one below that is one, too...but I really don't know those two for sure. And I have no idea what the purple are.

I think I know 'em all. As for those that want to know what the purple one is...maybe a Mountain Laurel?
