Poppies

Miles of flowers. This is the theme for this post. We visited the Wild Seed Farm a few miles east of Fredericksburg to see these fields burning alive with Red Corn Poppies:

Cars were stopping along the highway to take pictures. Behind one of these fields of poppies was a field of Bluebonnets, but I've posted those already for you. It's a great time to be in the Hill Country!

Don't forget to find your picture and write your poem or story to link in to Wednesday Wit and Wisdom tomorrow.

Some great stories last week, so be sure to check them out!

I absolutely love poppies. Ours come back thicker each year! I can hardly wait. They bloom for weeks and start around my birthday...even better!

Sooo beautiful, Linda. You had me longing to visit Hill Country anyway, but now I really want to go there in springtime.

Absolutely delightful. My poppies do not do so well here as I guess our seasons are too wet. Reminds me of France.

How pretty! I've ordered poppies from their catalog! I was too late this year - we've had an early spring. Must have been amazing to see! x Karen

Mom had red poppies growing in her yard. Through the years we lost the seed. Seeing them reminded me of her.

So much beauty. I can see why people were lined up to take photos. I miss our poppies. when we first added the pool and landscaping, we had golden poppies everywhere.
