My younger brother farms in Central Illinois. He is the third generation of my family farming the same acreage, yielding crops of corn, soybeans, and alfalfa. He and his wife, Judy, raised three strapping boys who are now working in various professions, two close by and one in California. For Christmas, they were all gathered together at the farm. Among the boys there are now 10 grandchildren.
Since two of my children are scattered around the states (Wisconsin, Illinois) with only one close by, I'm a bit envious of this wonderful gathering. Think for a moment of the noise level of these beautiful cousins, the oldest just twelve. Creating memories.
